It was once thought that the heat-toting oceanic currents that at one time were thought to be at rish from human-driven warming of the climate. It has been shown that there has been no slowdown at all through much of the past decades and that there has been no slowndown since the early 1990s. The fear of a slowndown of the circulation will show that an increase in flows of freash water will help melt the ice sheets. Dr. Broeckers 2004 article and online package on the possible contribution of Greenlands ice to such a slowdown explores the complexities and hints that the picture was not simple. They are doing more research to see the currents around the Greenland area.
It is good to know that the currents may not be changing like many people have been prodicting they have been doing. If they did it would not be good for many animals because it would lead to a climate change in many areas of the world. We need to find a way to find out if the currents will change before it is eventually to late.

E.P.A. to Seek More Data on Emissions
The E.P.A is now think about adding gas and oil sectors to the list of people that need to report their annual emissions amount back to them and to the government. The agency already requires 31 industries which representing 85 percent of the annual production of climate altering gases in the country to track and report emissions. The new rule would also try to track emissions of methane and fluorinated gases, which have a much more powerful impact on the atmosphere than carbon dioxide does. Methane is the primary gas that get released in oil and gas drilling Some petroleum drillers inject carbon dioxide into wells to enhance oil and gas recovery. The E.P.A. wants to know how much carbon dioxide is used in such operations and how much escapes into the atmosphere. This new rule would make it manditory for more organizations to have to report there emissions amount.
I think that it is good that the E.P.A is making it so that more orginizations will have to report there emissions amount and that will make it so that we know how much harmful material is being put into the atmoshpere. This will make it so that we can make them cut back it the atmosphere is getting to bad. Hopefully now the E.P.A will become more harsh on there regulation laws and we will be able to clean the environment.

Panel Will Review U.N. Climate Work
A group of the worlds top scientist will be reviewing the reasearch and the practices that the United Nations Climate Change panal has come up with. This group of scientist are the top scientist of today and will be able to find and pick out any flaws that are present in the new Chlimate Change panal. In 2007 the panal came under attack when they exaggerated the rate at which glaciers are moving and melting. Robbert H. Dijkgraaf will be the leading scientist who will be doing the research. He says that there job is to make sure that the I.P.C.C will be making quality reports in the future.
It is good that the United Nations are working together to make sure that the information that they are coming up with is good. Now we can not just make up information to how we want it to be because there will be people who are reviewing it. It is good that we can trust the information that we are hearing.

Climate Goal Is Supported by China and India
On Tuesday India and China formally agreed to join the international climate change agreement that was reached in December in Copenhagen. India and China now join the other 100 countries that have already joined this agreement. The change agreement is calling for a 2 degree Celsius change in Earths global temperature. In this agreement there was a call for 100 billion dollars to be spent to help developing countries become more environmentally safe. China and India have both said that they will try to voluntarily cut the amount of green house gases that they use to try and slow down the climate warming.
I think that it is good that more and more countries are trying to become more environmentally safe. When more countries see the bigger countries such as China signing the agreement it may make the smaller countries sign it seeing that it is a good idea. It is good to know the we are trying to do something to save our planet.
