A Banner Year for Wind Power

According to recent reports taken about the wind power usage in the united states it has shown that we are using more wind power than we ever had and it still seems to be on the rise. 10010 megawatts of wind power was record used in the last year which is a record for the amount of wind power used in the United States. Over the past five years we have advanced our technology in wind power making it so that we are able to get the most out of it as possible. Right now one possible set back to wind power is a shortage of power lines so it would not be able to get the power from the wind turbines to the housing. Our new plan in power would create 300000 megawatts of energy but much would be wasted due to lack of ways to transport it.
I think that it is good that America is tring to find new ways to find energy. We are finding new and better renewable energy sources to fuel America. We just need to hope that it sticks and we dont go back to our old ways

Ontario Issues $8 Billion in Renewable Energy Contracts

In Ontario Canada a company has just announced that it will be putting 8 billion dollars into ways to make renewable energy deals. This deal may be great for the environment but it will cost the people around three hundred dollars more in taxes. The Ontario Power Authoirty, the company which is overseeing the program awarded contracts for 100 megawatts of solar and wind projects to a subsidiary of Invenergy LLC a Chicago company. Ontario plans to add more wind farms to around the area they are in to add to there renewable energy. The plan is to make it so Ontario can slowly phase out the use of coal as there energy.
I think that it is good that a whole province in Canada is taking action to help and save the environment. If we are lucky it will catch on to everywhere in Canada and then to the united states. We just need to hope that Canada will stick with there promise.
